We are a commercial organization of COLINAGRO, registered at the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce under number 01190255.  Over 26 years, the firm has been committed to the provision of chemical analysis and quality control services to producing companies within the agricultural sector, and soil and plant analysis users, inside Colombia and abroad.

The firm counts with a team of highly qualified, experienced professionals in each of the technical and administrative areas.

Mission

Our laboratory is widely known for the optimum quality service performance at competitive prices and full satisfaction of the requirements of its customers, always in accordance with applicable legal dispositions regulating activities like chemical analysis and quality control on chemical analysis and quality control for fertilizer producing companies and users of soil, plant, water and organic manure analysis.  In this way, our firm contributes to the growth and enhancement of productivity, quality and competition of the agricultural industry in Colombia and abroad.

Specialized Services

The CALS AND CAAF National Inter-laboratory Calibration Program headed by the Colombian Society of Soil Sciences, has endorsed the soil and foliar methodologies that the firm has put into practice.  At present, new methodologies have been implemented to allow the agriculturist to choose different types of analysis: complete in the exchangeable phase, or in the soluble phase focused on specific crops.

Soil Analisis: These studies provide valuable information that helps to identify and comprehend the most important features for the use and handling of the soil resource in relevant activities within the agricultural and cattle breeding production.

Foliar Analisis: This method renders the nutritional contents of plants in the preparation of a fertilization program, keeping the availability of soil-plant nutrients in balance, according to the requirements of the crop.

Irrigation Water Análisis: The inter-action between the soil’s physical-chemical properties and water quality is fundamental in evaluating the feasibility of using irrigation water.

Prevailing criteria for irrigation water quality and its association to the potential hazards on crops are:

Salinity:  The effects of salts on crop growth are mostly osmotic and relate to the whole concentration of salts.

Sodicity:  The term relates to an excessive amount of exchangeable sodium in the soil that leads to permeability and soil structure impairment.

Toxicity:  Certain solutes have a direct toxic effect on crops.

Fertilizer Quality Control Analyses and Amendments: AGROSOL LAB is certified by the ICA (Colombian Institute for Agriculture) pursuant to Decision No. 02246 of October 2002.

This service is offered to the various industrial sectors of the country, in order to guarantee compliance of the dispositions required by the regulating bodies.

The quality control analyses have been endorsed by the applicable Colombian Technical Standards of the ICONTEC Institute, thus assuring compliance with the national regulations.

Analysis of Organic Materials: Organic manure spreading on the soil improves its physical-chemical structure.  Most common applications refer to organic manures, organominerals and minerals.  The purpose of the analysis is to ensure that the manure to be used carries the required plant development nutrients.
